Options:

Create several egg baskets using various colors and hang from a branch (sm tree-like branch) decorated with ribbon. Fill plastic eggs with real Easter eggs or place scripture inside each plastic egg for each child (ideally suited for a Sunday School class).

If preferred, these baskets can be stiffened and shaped. Cover a flat work surface such as a Styrofoam board or cardboard, even ironing board. Dip crochet in desired stiffening agent and squeeze out excess liquid. Place on prepared work surface and pin bottom (first and second rnds) to surface using rust proof pins. Insert a balloon inside the cavity of the basket and blow until it fills the cavity and straighten the handle over the top of the balloon (balloon opening should be angled away from the top). Tie off balloon and let dry. Once dried, pop the balloon with a pin and release air slowly. Pull from the cavity and decorate the edge of the basket as desired. By pinning the first 2 rnds to the work surface, it'll create a flat area for the egg to sit upright. Fill with plastic grass and jelly beans!

What a fantastic idea. I am making some for Easter to hang on the lower branches of the trees for the smaller kids to find. It will look so lovely and decorative. Thanks for the idea!
