Crochet hook size 8 USA (1.50 mm)

Finished Size: 8 1/2" L
Gauge: Not important to over all size

 Bookmark:

Designer Note: It may help to mark the ch 3 turning chs to ensure you’re working in the turning ch and not one of the ch 3 sps of the open shells. 

Row 1) Ch 7; dc in 7th ch from hook (first 6 chs skipped count as first dc plus ch 3), (ch 3, dc in same ch) twice: 4 dc/3 ch 3-sps.

Rem Rows) Ch 3, turn work; sk next ch 3 sp, dc in next ch 3 sp (center sp), (ch 3, dc in same sp) 3 times: 4 dc/3 ch 3-sps.  Continue working until bookmark measures approximately 8" long.  Do not end off on last row.

Rnd 1) Ch 3, (working down the long edge of trim); [dc in ch 3 turning ch, (ch 3, dc in same sp) 3 times] down long edge of bookmark, [dc in first ch 3 sp of open shell, (ch 3, dc in same sp) 3 times], dc in beg ch, (ch 3, dc in same st) 3 times, working back up the long edge on the opposite side, [dc in next ch 3 turning ch, (ch 3, dc in same sp) 3 times] up the long edge of trim; join with a sl st to first dc of last open shell.  Fasten off; secure ends.

Finishing:

If desired, bookmark can be blocked by spraying with water or spray starch and shaping on a terry towel to dry.

Thank you Thao. Unfortunately I don't make tutorial videos. It would be labor intensive and my main focus is the patterns I sell, which is how I earn a living. So understandably, I need to place my focus on what puts food on the table and pays for the roof over my head. :-)
