Row 1) Ch a multiple of 3 plus 2, or ch 116 for size given above; V st in 6th ch from hook (first 5 chs skipped count as first dc) see special sts; * sk next 2 ch, V st in next ch; rep from * across, sk next ch, dc in last ch: 37 V sts/2 end dc.
Row 2) Ch 3, turn work (counts as first dc), (2 dc) in first st (counts as first half fan), sc in next V st sp; * fan in next V st sp see special sts; sc in next V st sp; rep from * across, (3 dc) in last dc (counts as half fan): 18 fans/2 half fans. Mark this row as the RS of work.
