Our pretty soap holder is the perfect accessory for the bath. Quick to work up using Luster sheen for a soft finish with beautiful results. It also makes a great addition to a bath basket too!

Holder: (Make 2)
Row 1) Starting at bottom: ch 4; dc in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs skipped count as first dc), (ch 2, 2 dc) 3 times in same ch: 8 dc/3 ch-2 sps.
Row 2) Ch 5, turn work; shell in first ch 2 sp see special sts, ch 1, (dc, ch 5, dc) in next ch 2 sp, ch 1, shell in last ch 2 sp, trc in first dc on last row (first turning ch): 2 shells/1 ch 5-sp/2 dc/2 turning chs.
Row 3) Ch 5, turn work; shell in next shell sp, ch 2, dc in next ch 5 sp, (ch 1, dc) 8 times in same ch 5 sp, ch 2, shell in last shell sp, trc in last turning ch: 2 shells/1 beg pineapple with 9 dc & 8 ch 1-sps/2 ch 2-sps/2 turning chs.

Joining & Edging:
Rnd 1) With both front and back held together, RS facing out; join thread to marked turning ch (working toward the bottom or base of pineapple) with a sl st; ch 1, sc through both pieces; (7 dc in next turning ch through both pieces, sc in next turning ch through both pieces) 3 times, (7 dc) in next turning ch through both pieces, sc in beg ch at base of pineapple through both pieces, (7 dc in next turning ch through both pieces, sc in next turning ch through both pieces) 4 times (bottom and part of both sides joined), (working in top piece only), (7 dc in next turning ch, sc in next turning ch) twice, (9 dc) in next turning ch, (sc in next turning ch, 7 dc in next turning ch) twice; join with a sl st in first sc, turning holder over to work in the back piece only, (7 dc in next turning ch, sc in next turning ch) twice, (9 dc) in next turning ch, (sc in next turning ch, 7 dc in next turning ch) twice; join with a sl st next sc. Fasten off; secure ends.
Finishing:
Insert soap. Cut ribbon in half. Tie one half to the bottom portion of pineapple and tie into a bow as shown in photo. Trim ends. With remaining ribbon, tie the top portion of both pieces together at top, after inserting soap. Tie into a bow as shown. Trim ends.

I'm sorry I can't help you with the yarn. I'm unfamiliar with it but I do know that Red Heart makes a luster sheen. I'd love to hear feedback using the cotton bon bons!
