Star Coaster




Celebrate the 4th in style with our cute star shaped coasters worked up in worsted weight yarn.  Red, white and blue - it's all American and what better way to protect the furniture!

Sm amt 4-ply WW weight yarn (red, white, blue)
Crochet hook size I (8-5.00 mm)

Finished Size: 5 1/4" dia (at points)
Gauge: Not important to over all size

Coaster:

With red, ch 6; join with a sl st in first ch to form a ring.

Rnd 1) Ch 1, (sc, 3 dc in ring) 5 times; join with a sl st in first sc: 15 dc/5 sc. Fasten off red.


Rnd 2) Join white to joining with a sl st; ch 1, sc in joining, dc in next dc, (2 dc, trc, 2 dc) in next dc (center dc), dc in next dc; * sc in next sc, dc in next dc, (2 dc, trc, 2 dc) in next dc (center dc), dc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st in first sc: 30 dc/5 trc/5 sc. Fasten off white.

Rnd 3) Join blue to first dc after a sc on last rnd with a sl st; ch 1, hdc in joining, dc in next 2 dc, (2 dc, trc, 2 dc) in next trc, dc in next 2 dc, hdc in next dc, sk next sc; * hdc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, (2 dc, trc, 2 dc) in next trc, dc in next 2 dc, hdc in next dc; rep from * around; join with a sl st to first hdc: 40 dc/5 trc/10 hdc. Fasten off; secure ends.
